Graduate Interviews
You’ve recently finished university and this is probably the first time you’ve had an interview. Nobody has taught you what to expect so naturally you’re nervous.
What do employers want?
In our session, I’ll help you understand what an employer is looking for in their graduate intake, go through the most common questions asked and help you draw on strong examples to show them why you’re a good fit for the job. This will take a lot of the mystery out of the interview process and will help you approach it with confidence.
Competency questions:
As competency questions are very common, I’ll make sure you’re comfortable using the STAR method and we’ll help you structure answers. Popular competencies examined at graduate level include teamwork, communication skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail etc.
Laura helped me pick out good examples from my summer jobs and roles I had in college societies to show I’d met all the skills needed for the job. I was much more confident going into the interview!

Mock interview:
We do a mock interview and replay it. I’ll look at where you’ve performed well and areas where we can make improvements. I’ll also give you guidelines on how to present yourself with authority and confidence.
The sessions are all about building your confidence and strengthening your experience.
By spending time with Laura I was able to express more clearly why I wanted to become a national school teacher and why I felt I would be good at the job. She asked a lot of probing questions which really made me think. It really gave me an edge in the interview.
